Review of the OhMiBod’s Club Vibe
The OhMiBod’s Club Vibe is a pretty special bullet that I got from Good Vibrations. This vibe has three vibrations modes that offers an infinite number of vibration patterns, because it vibrates according to sounds and music. This vibe is a lot of fun, I’ll never listen to music the same way ever again.
I was really excited when I got this. All the parts were neatly organized in a plastic tray when I opened the box, and I was surprised to see so many accessories inside:
- A wired bullet vibe.
- A controller.
- A splitter cord with a 3.5 mm output jack for a MP3 player or speaker system.
- A velvet drawstring bag.
- A lace and cotton g-string panties.
- Two AAA batteries.
- Instructions in several languages.
The bullet vibrator measures 1 1/8" long and 5/8" in diameter and is made of velvety polyurethane-coated ABS plastic that is a non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-porous material that is unscented, phthalates-free and latex-free. Quite a mouthful, but it’s some good stuff. It can be used with silicone and water-based lubricants, and it can easily be washed with mild soap and water. The Club Vibe is not waterproof, and the bullet is meant for clitoral stimulation, and not for insertion, either vaginally or anally because there is a seam running through the middle of the bullet, which may make cleaning more difficult. If you still want to try to insert it, I suggest that you slip the bullet in a condom, keep a hold of the condom during use and to pull on it when it comes to removing the bullet, but it’s very important not to pull from the wire.
The cotton and lace g-string panties are one-size fits most. The lace was fitting my hips really nicely, without being too tight or stretched more than necessary. To give you an idea I have a hip measurement of 38” and I wear medium-sized panties. So if you wear panties that are a size large, you may not be comfortable with this set. However, this is not the only type of panties that works with the Club Vibe. All you need is panties with lining that is open in the front so you can slip the vibe in. You have to hand-wash them and hang them to try, or wash them in a special lingerie bag in a gentle cycle.
The controller measures 3" long, by 1 ½" wide and ¾" deep. It is also made of plastic with the PU coating, and has several controls on it. On the side is where the three modes are selected. In the first position is the Ambient mode, where the controller detects ambient sounds and vibrates accordingly. The second, the Manual mode, works with seven preset vibration patterns in case sounds and music don’t work for you at the moment. In the third, the Music mode, is where you connect the controller to a music system and that your Club Vibe is vibrating according to the music waves.
There is also a volume slider on the bottom of the controller that is used to increase the intensity of the vibrations on the Ambient and Music mode, but will not have any effect in the Manual mode. In the back of the controller is the battery cap that also had a belt clip, which makes it easy to carry it around.
The Manual mode is controlled by the two buttons in front of the controller are two buttons, the ‘O’ and the ‘X’. The circle is used to browse through the seven manual modes and turns itself off after the seventh function. The ‘X’ is used to turn off the vibe at any time during the cycle. This is something I really like, because I do not always want to go through all the vibration patterns to turn it off.
I will use a scale of 1 to 4 to represent the variations in the patterns, where 1 is a soft buzz, 2 a soft medium buzz, 3 a stronger medium buzz, and 4 is a high intensity.
- Constant vibration at 2.
- Constant vibration at 3.
- Constant vibration at 4.
- Pulses at 3.
- One-second steps going from 1, 2, 3, 4. Repeat.
- Crescendo from 1 to 2, followed by two pulses at 3, then crescendo from 2 to 4, then the two pulses at 3. Repeat.
- Crescendo from 1 to 4, followed by three pulses at 3, then a decrescendo from 4 to 1, followed by two pulses at 3. Repeat.
The range of vibration on the Club Vibe is very satisfying. It’s really powerful for something that runs on two AAA batteries. I am also impressed by sensitivity of the Music mode, where the faintest note is felt very gently through the vibe.
The Ambient mode works best is a place where music is loud, like in a dance club. In a room, it seems difficult to detect sounds beyond a few inches from it. I noticed that you can actually blow air in it and you’ll have better results in getting a reaction from the Ambient mode. The vibrations obtained from the Ambient mode and the Music mode work best with dance club music with a strong beat. That’s where you’ll get good orgasmic pulsations. And the way the music is transferred to the vibe is amazing. You can actually recognize your songs.
I love this little bullet. It’s really comfortable when pressed against my clitoris, and makes orgasms really easy to reach. Although, when the bullet is in the lining of the panties, it can’t really be set on the clitoris and just vibrates against the outer and inner labia. It’s still very nice, and besides, I would not want to be over stimulated in public. It’s a naughty, naughty feeling. However, at first, I was afraid that it would often slide far between my legs and away from my clit when I would walk, but it would stay put.
The only negative thing I can really say, and yet it is a small issue, is about the controller. I find that it is too large, and it’s hard to hide it anywhere if you are going dancing with it. It’s too large to even look like a cell phone or a page. I had to wear loose clothing to hide its presence, and it’s not usually the most flattering clothing for a night out. Also, the plastic hook that holds the battery cap into place cannot be pushed down to relieve the tension when removing it, meaning that it may eventually show some wear, if not break. When I’m not going anywhere with this, I don’t put the cap unless I’m leaving home with it.
However, the strongest vibrations are pretty loud, and if you are in a quiet place, try not to go in Manual mode or heads will turn. It’s very not discreet, not that I did, just warning you. There is no problem for the Ambient mode in a dance club though, since the music is already pretty loud. I don’t usually go out in dance clubs, since everything is so very loud, but in times like this, it’s a good thing. A pretty very good thing.
Try this, it’s really something you’ll be playing with because it’s such a novelty, and that it feels so good.
