The Diamond Massager is a cute and small vibrator used for external stimulation or shallow penetration. It’s quite powerful, and gives the impression of being a giant bullet, with the advantage of being able to apply that power in more than a tiny area.

The shape, especially the narrow parts, makes holding the toy comfortable, and it’s something that I really like with toys, not feeling cramped in trying to use a toy. The widest part is slightly over an inch in diameter, so it’s definitely not large if it’s going to be used for minimal penetration.

The Diamond Massager is also waterproof, as long as it’s not taken for a deep swim (think pressure). Especially since this toy does not float, it should not be left at the bottom of the water. I left mine a few seconds at the bottom of the sink for a few seconds, and no water got into it, but I would not leave it soaking in the bath for minutes.

There are two arrows printed on the sides of the battery cap showing where the arrows have to be aligned in order to open it, but their usefulness is more than that. You need to align the arrows to close it or somehow the cap won’t be in that specific position to correctly make the contact with the batteries. If I were to close it the other way, I’d have to change the polarity of the two AAA batteries, which are not included.

There are three vibration patterns, one that is constant, the next one is a quick constant pulsing, and the last one is also like a series of pulses but slightly more pronounced, and where every fifth pulse is longer and followed by a tiny pause. Depending on how long you keep the toy turned on, your fingers may feel a little numbed after a while, but I managed to reach a second orgasm before it occurred.

The shape and design of the toy could make it a great first toy, as long as the power is taken into consideration. It’s not everyone that can handle that power when first introduced to toys. For others, it’s the best bullet you may have.

The Nubby Softee, part of the Basics Essentials collection and designed by Cal Exotics, well deserves its name: it has nubs, it’s soft and bendy in the middle of the shaft, and from its design, I could expect it was made for shallow penetration. All right, I know it’s more information than what the name could give, but it’s still true.

When I look at it, I keep thinking that it looks like a candy pink space rocket. It’s not like I can help it by the way it has a thinner tip and how the nubs are placed. You can see the three rows of circular nubs starting at the very tip, which varies between 1” and 1 ¼” in diameter, and there is another row of oval nubs before the first wrapped bump around the shaft. After the bumps, the shaft widens to reach a good 1 ¾” in diameter, but you’d have to be really motivated to get that part in.

The shaft of the Nubby Softee is made of TPE and the base is made of ABS plastic, and they are two very good materials for sex toys as they are not very porous and have no smell or taste. The toy has a wide soft seal around the battery cap, which makes it waterproof – yup, tried, tested, soaked and it even floats. At the tip of the Nubby, we can see the motor of the toy, and this is why the vibrations are the strongest at that location. Between the motor and the battery compartment, the shaft can bend from pressure, but it won’t stay in a bended position. That feature becomes interesting if you do not like to have a lot of pressure applied on the clitoris if someone else is using the toy on you, which also prevents thrusts that could be painful.

The vibrator is turned on my turning a dial at the base clockwise, and you’ll go through  escalating levels of vibrations, going from medium low to a fairly high intensity (scale written on the dial). The dial has some resistance for turning, and I had to grip it with two fingers. And unlike what’s written on the packaging, it’s not whisper quiet. On the highest setting, it’s got a loud buzz noise and even the dial makes some type of metal grating sound – but I had not noticed the first times I tried it… could be new. It is powered by 2 AA batteries, but they are not included.

All in all, this vibrator has interesting features, and is particularly powerful. I could feel the nubs really well and, during penetration, I could not really feel the bumps when I would reach the middle part, except that it felt like a natural stop, as if I could not go deeper. This is a toy that is reasonably priced ($16) and is worth it if the features are what you are looking for.

What I like about reviewing sex toys is that we often get the chance to try toys that we’ve been wondering about for a while but were never sure if a toy worked well or not. This time, it’s a type of clitoral pump that I wanted to try and that Cal Exotics gave to me for review, and it’s the Decadent Clitoral Arouser. It didn’t perform exactly like I thought it would, but I had a very nice surprise anyway.

So here are the basics, the Arouser is an large oval 3” long and 1.5” large, that has a number of nubs inside the concave area. On top of that, a small bullet, powered by a N1 battery (included), is inserted in the little bird and give extra sensations. The bullet power is gradual and goes from low to a medium high and is fairly quiet (much less than a bullet for sure). From the oval section starts a small tube that goes to the pump (total length of 23”), and all the parts look well-made and connect very well. The length is fine for solo or couple play.

The clitoral pump is made of soft TPR, but it still could be softer; it bends when you touch it with your hands, but it returns to its initial form when held against the body. If you want more information on the properties and how to take care of TPR, click here. Note that since the opening of the tube is at the base of the nubs, you must not immersing the toy in water. I would wet my fingers and add some soap and careful rinse it afterward. The handle was easily wiped clean after use too. Also, since the tube is at the base of the nubs, I suggest that you only apply lubricant on your body and not directly into the hollow area, or it would be easy for the lubricant to be pumped into the tube. After a couple of use, a little bit of lube got into it, but as it dries off, the tube does not get jammed.

So far when it came to creating a minimum of suction, I had to hold it down to my body to make sure that all the sides remained in contact with me, and it did help that I had some labia skin and lubricant to create some suction. Once an initial suction is created, it becomes easier to hold to it through pumping as it removes air and brings your skin closer to the nubs, and eventually massages you. The suction wasn’t very strong and if you stop pumping, the suction gradually goes down, and this is why it is possible to pump more or less fast without creating too much suction.

There is also a black button near the pump that is used to release all pressure created, and it can become useful if you feel like the suction is a little too much to handle. At one moment, I became very sensitive, obviously from the constant pumping and having more blood flow in that area, so I had to stop and moved on to something else, but I did not experience any discomfort.

The package says that the bird beak and the tail can be respectively used for clitoral and erogenous zones stimulation, but I guess it all depends on how you set it up. I preferred using the pump over the clitoris and let it be stimulated by the “love tinglers,” which gave the impression of having some very quick tongue lickings (as fast as you are pumping that is). I did try to position the arouser differently, but it didn’t seem to work well, which is also why it would have been interesting if the material has been softer and allowed more possibilities. Still, the clitoral arouser did its job well, and even if the vibration traveled well through the toy, I could feel the suction and the nubs better without the vibration.

All in all, this is an interesting toy and quite cute to be honest, but I believe its performance depends hugely on the body it is used on, as it is more your body that adapts around it. And don’t forget that pumping helps with blood flow, meaning that it does the same thing as the clitoral gels on the market. Actually, you could also combine it with a gel and I’m sure the effect would stack. So use it to your advantage and use it as part of your foreplay. I received the 9-Function Playful Curve for review by Cal Exotics, and once again, I have really enjoyed their new toy. It is a waterproof toy that has 9 vibrations settings, from constant vibrations to some unusual vibration patterns (also hard to describe).

It is a slender plastic vibrator that has very pleasant vibrations patterns. The widest point, at the rounded part of the shaft, is 1 ¼” wide, and makes this toy suitable for pretty much everyone with that size. The only part to take in consideration is the sheer power of this toy. It is quite seriously powerful, especially since it is only uses 2 AAA batteries (not included), and if you tend to associate the number and size of batteries to estimate the power of a toy, you will be surprised with this one.

The plastic used for this vibrator is ABS plastic with a PU coating, and the cap is made of ABS only. If you want more information about this material and how to care for it, you can click here . The fact that it is made of plastic make the vibrations travel very well through the tip of the toy, and it is every difficult to guess exactly where the motor is location, but I guess it is in the rounded part due to size.

The tip is also curved to reach the g-spot I suppose, but it didn’t seem to work for me. I tried poking a little here and there, but with the high vibrations, it was hard to pinpoint anything. Instead, I found that I preferred using this toy externally, with the tip at the entrance of my vagina while the rounded shaft would be resting against my clit. This position was quite stimulating, and made the button clicking easy.

When it comes to performance, it does the job very well, and it even felt too strong at times. All the vibrations beyond the second settings felt at least high, if it can give you an idea of how strong this is.

The vibration settings are:
1. Medium constant vibration.
2. High constant vibration.
3. Very high constant vibration.
4. Quick succession of 4 pulses.
5. Two one-second long pulses, then a long two-second pulse.
6. Series of varying pulses and a longer pulse at the end.

However, with power comes noise, which is not always something we like, but unless a completely silent toy is invented, we have to deal with this. The noise is loud, much louder than the vibrations of a cellphone, and can easily be heard through a closed door even with some relaxing background music.

The vibrator is also waterproof, and I washed it under running water, and I didn’t see any water get in, so it would definitely be safe in a shower. It is not very difficult to give the cap a slight twist to get it open, and as such, I would not be too comfortable with playing too much in water, as I’d worry more about the cap opening than having some water leak into it.

I think the only drawback this toy has is that it does not have an instant off button, and that you have to cycle though the patterns to turn it off. Also if you go too fast in clicking on the button, you may skip the “Off” setting and go through a completely new cycle before being able to turn it off.

So all in all, the Playful Curve is more than just playful, it’s a real player. So if you are not ready for very strong vibrations, you might need to wait before getting this one. Otherwise, it has some very good vibration patterns that are hard to come by.

I received the Mini Scoop for review from Cal Exotics, and I’m not sure it’s a toy that really works with me considering that I like direct stimulation, but I managed to find a few things that I like about it. The scoop is there if you want to tease or have indirect stimulation for the clitoris, which is why I’m biased when it comes to appreciating it to its true value.

This toy is really designed for sensitive women, and if the tiniest pressure is applied on the clitoral area, the sides of the scoop dig into the skin and are not comfortable. Without pressure, the toy is quite teasing, as I said before, and with how my body is, I could hold it in place between my outer labia at the lower settings, which was what I liked best about it (experience may vary). At least the back of the scoop is round and could be used like a regular bullet, but even then, that idea didn’t come right away.

Unlike most bullets out there, this one is a little bit larger, being about 3 ½” long and the scoop is ¾” wide. Some sections of the toy are connected with some type of softer plastic, like the head and the base part, but it also allows the vibe to be waterproof.

The Mini Scoop is turned on by turning clockwise a flat dial cap at the very base, which also allows the toy to be placed upright on a flat surface. As for power, the lowest setting is quite low, and the highest setting is very much like a regular bullet and seems to have the same buzzing tone and level. It also works with a N1 battery, which is included with the toy. The battery has to be placed with the negative side inward, or you’ll only get a single vibration intensity.

So all in all, it is essentially a pimped bullet, with an original shape and various vibration intensities. The only negative point I can tell about this tiny vibrator is that it is not particular pleasing to look at with all the different connected sections. But with a low suggested retail price of about $12, I can understand that the design might be minimal. It is now available at this sex toy store I trust.

The Pleasure Kiss, by California Exotics, is most likely the most interesting g-spot vibrator I’ve had the chance to try. The vibrator made me realize there are more ways to stimulate the g-spot than with pressure or by pinpointing it. It’s made to cover the overall spot gently but accurately with a bunch of nubs or nodules on the head, and it works very well. It massages nicely the areas where you use it, like the g-spot or the clit. The nubs are very stimulating though, so if you are very sensitive, it might be too much.

This g-spot vibrator is not especially large and the overall shape is very pleasing to the eye. It is 8” long with an insertable shaft of 4 ½”. It has four rings along the middle of the shaft that I didn’t really feel during penetration, maybe it is because they are located at the slimmest section of the shaft (about one inch) or I didn’t feel them in contrast to the head, which has a diameter of 1 ½” at the tip. However, from the way I used this vibrator, on the g-spot and my clitoris, I do not think this vibrator really needs to be this long. In my opinion, if this vibe was shorter, it would still be as good.

The insertable section is made of firm, but not hard TPR, but the nodules have a lot of give. They easily move sideways under the thumb, and they are also quite resistant to wear and tear. I picked one between my nails and slightly pulled, and it’s obviously not going to break with normal use. The only disadvantage I find with the design, and it is a minor one, is that you have to make sure that the nub section is thoroughly cleaned, especially the outline around them, as it runs deeper on the sides. The base of the toy, which is made of ABS plastic, is somewhat large compared to the total size of the toy, but it also includes a strong plastic loop, with which you can attach a rope and leave it hanging in the shower. With it being waterproof, at least resistant to running water, it is an original feature. The control buttons are at the base of the toy, and are shaped like hearts. There is an ‘On/Off’ button and one to cycle through the vibrations. The ‘On/Off’ button is linked with a memory chip, which makes the vibrator turn on at the last setting that was used. If you are into a particular setting and won’t use the others, then it is useful, but it’s not a feature I personally find that useful. The battery compartment is opened by twisting the cap counterclockwise, and holds 2 AA batteries, which are not included.

With its 8 vibration settings, the Pleasure Kiss is sure to please in some ways. However, note that of all the pulsation and escalation modes, there is no constant vibration setting. With other vibrators, I’ll usually play around with the pulses and escalations before finishing with the constant one. But with this, I was actually forced to tease myself to orgasm. It’s not bad, it was interesting, but if you absolutely need the constant vibrations, usually going from low to high, you are not going to be happy with that one. The vibrations are all moderately strong and are strongest at the very tip of the toy, where the motor is.

The vibration settings are:
1. Slow escalating pulses from low to high (About 3 seconds).
2. Quicker escalating pulses from low to high (One second duration).
3. Even quicker escalation pulses from medium to high (Half a second).

The Shane’s World Sorority Party Vibes include the Nooner, a small-size vibrator whose name seems to focus on its portability. The Nooner is a short traditional vibrator that can be easily inserted in a purse, even a small one, which I am pretty sure that was the intended purpose for this toy. Since it is made of ABS plastic, it is easy to care for outside the home. It is also coated with PU, which also gives it a nice velvet-coating. While I can appreciate a smooth toy once in a while, I do like them better with the little drag that comes from the coating. So how small is the Nooner? While it has the regular one-inch diameter and the tapered tip, it is only 6 inches long, where 4 ½” of that are insertable, and it is turned on by rotating the purple cap clockwise. To turn it off, you need to twist the cap counter-clockwise. The purple cap also has indents to make it easier to turn, but it is not coated with PU, and can still be very slippery when wet. It is powered by a single AA battery (not included), and the battery cap is opened by twisting at the level of the section with the metallic plating. The battery cap has a very thick ring to seal the toy from water, as long as the cap is twisted tightly.

The vibration intensities are gradual and range from a low throbbing to the high intensity of a bullet. The noise coming from this toy is particularly high-pitched, probably from the fact that it is made of plastic, and the highest level in volume is also very similar to that of a bullet. So if you are in a quiet house, it would probably be heard through a door, which also makes that toy less conspicuous when it comes to bringing it to public places. But then, if it is a party vibe, you can be sure that there will be music loud enough to cover the sound level of the vibrator and the user as well.

I have tested the waterproof quality of the Nooner by completely submerging it. It did not float, and I did not see any bubbles coming up, and when I took it out of the water, no water had leaked inside. However, water did penetrate the toy somehow through the turning cap from where you control the vibration setting, and it can take several hours for it to dry completely. If you wipe the toy with a towel and put it aside, you will not notice that the toy is still wet until you turn the purple cap.

I’d say that the Nooner makes a great first toy, because the size is non-intimidating and it is quite easy to use. Even if the cap can hold on water for a little while, it never got into the toy from the top, and the battery was safe. It is a good waterproof toy, and it is always convenient to have one for bathroom fun.

I received the Sassy Swirl Squiggle to review from Cal Exotics. If I could cover the essentials as an introduction, I’d say that it is a textured vibrator with 10 modes that can bend along the shaft and… even has a memory chip to remember the last pattern it was on.

The Squiggle is slightly larger than what I’d call a medium-sized toy. It has a total length of 8 1/2”, and 6 ½” of that is insertable. It has a diameter of 1 ¾ at the widest part at the head and at the swirl texture, and had a 2” diameter near the base, at the wavy texture. The Sassy Swirl Squiggle is made of phthalate-free PVC, and it has a faint fruity smell that is only perceivable if held really close to the nose. It’s battery cap is made of ABS plastic. The tip of the toy is quite firm and it requires some force to notice how the material can give. But then, since the motor is very close to the tip, it contributes to the firmness of the toy down to the swirl texture. The toy is also squishier in the middle part where it bends. When it comes to textures, I could not really feel the narrow lines running around the head, but I could definitely feel the swirl at the base of the head. I really had fun twisting the vibrator while thrusting. As for the wavy texture at the base, I can’t really tell because I was not able to insert it that far.

The vibrator works on three AAA alkaline batteries, which are not included. Once the cap is twisted open, it is clearly indicated in what position the batteries have to be put in inside the battery tray to make it work and in what direction the tray has to go in the battery compartment. There is only one way to close the battery cap or else it won’t power on; the embossed prints on the cap have to face away from the front of the toy. The vibrator is also waterproof, since it has a waterproof seal around the battery cap.

The bendy feature of the vibrator makes it possible to adapt the toy to your body if you so require. I was already fine with the shape of the toy, but I did play around with it. It can bend at an additional 45 degrees in any direction when some force is applied to make it bend, and will mostly stay at that angle during use. I tried to change the angle while it was inserted, but all I seem to accomplish was pushing the toy on the walls of my vagina, and I quickly abandoned the idea.

At first I didn’t notice one of the control buttons was hollow and that the other was bumpy, and I would forget which of them would do what when I’d rotate the toy to feel the swirly texture. Once I got that part covered, everything went smoothly and I would not accidentally turn it off anymore. So the first button, button 1, is used to turn the toy on and to turn it off. The bumpy button, button 2, is to browse through the vibration patterns and to turn it on at the vibration mode that follows the one in memory. And after the first use, if you turn the toy on with button 1, the toy will vibrate at the last vibration mode used before it was turned off. So if at the second use you power on the toy with the button 2, you won’t realize what they meant by ‘memory chip’.

The 10 vibrations modes have 3 vibrations, 1 escalation and 6 pulsations, which I tried to describe, but even the ones that I described as low are still of a good vibration intensity that is close to being medium:

1. Constant high
2. Constant medium
3. Constant low
4. Low to high escalation at about 1 second interval
5. Low very quick pulses
6. High quick pulses
7. Medium very quick pulses
8. Low quick pulses
9. High pulses of longer length
10. Medium very quick pulses

When the vibration is active, there are lights at the tip of the battery cap that turn on and flicker according to the vibration mode, which is fancy but not very helpful for solo play. However, it could have its utility when it comes to showing the vibration patterns in a video, but it would not  show the intensity. Also, the vibrator is not particularly noisy and would not be heard through a door, but it’s not completely silent either.

All in all, this was a toy that I really enjoyed, especially for the firmness of the head and the intensity of the vibrations. It’s simple to use and the memory feature is fun. Only the size might not make this toy beginner friendly, but if that’s what you’re looking for, then it’s a good toy.

I was given the Couture Collection Amante to review by Cal Exotics, and I was really excited about this product. The concept of a wireless remote control egg had always interested me, and it is the first remote controlled toy that I had the chance to try. Since I am single, I required the help of very cooperative volunteers, which I shall not name, for the benefit of this review.  

The egg of the Couture Collection Amante is made of premium Japanese medical grade silicone, and is 2 ½” long with a diameter of 1 ¼”. The firm surface is firm and matte, which helps keeping the toy inside if lubrication is kept to a minimum for insertion. The flexible retrieval cord of 3” is hardly noticeable during any activity. The ergonomic remote is 3” long and made of smooth PC plastic. It has two buttons, one for automatically turning the toy on and off, and another to go through the seven vibration patterns. When the remote is activated, the feather touch buttons are lighted with a blue light and is meant to work up to 16 ft, or 5 m.

The battery cap requires some effort to be opened and closed, because the toy is sealed by the cap being held firmly against the silicone coating around the edge, which makes up the waterproof seal. To open, you have to push down and drag the cap away from the cord. There is an indented seam, which cannot be felt at all, around the battery cap. From the pictures and the description, I had expected the white line to be completely flush with the rest of the toy, but as it turns out, the while line is part of the plastic internal casing. Even if I like the  stylish white line around the cap, I would have preferred the seam to be filled with silicone, ideally white to preserve the chic style.

When it is working, the toy is particularly silent. Only the highest vibration level could be heard if the toy is inserted and if, and only if the room is extremely quiet. I even demonstrated this egg at work, by showing the vibration through a leather purse, and nothing could be heard through the background noise. When it is not inserted, the noise level of the highest setting is similar to that of a bullet, and still cannot be heard through a door. The vibration patterns are:

1. Constant low.
2. Constant medium.
3. Constant high.
4. Quick escalating pulses from low to high.
5. High pulses.
6. Slightly quicker high pulses
7. Three high pulses, like #5, followed by a long two-second pulse.

At first I thought that the receptor could be at the very tip of the silicone string to maximize the reception, and after testing it, it does not seem to be the case. After testing it, I do believe that the working distance of 16 feet is for when it is not inserted, which makes sense, but it may disappoint some people if they expected it to be the inserted working distance. To be honest, I was a little disappointed by this, and I would have loved Cal Exotics to come up with a way to make that work while still keeping that part flexible. But then, I really have no clue how complicated it would be to achieve that. When the egg is not inserted, the reception is really excellent and it can be activated and controlled from a room away, even through a normal wall as long as it is within the working range. So if you want to play with it for external stimulation, you’ll never have any issue with having it work well.

When it comes to its inserted performance, it was tested at a party in a very remote location, and the reception was still impressive and could work up to about 9 ft, or 3 meters. The toy was tested again in a busy part of the city, and this time it would not work further than one or two feet away from me. My friend suggested that by being in the heart of the city, there could be some interference that may make it less receptive or functional. I’m not sure, but I tried again somewhere else in a residential neighborhood and the remote would work within inconsistent distances for up to 9 ft. Still, you can be sure that you’ll be served with fun if used from across a restaurant table or when you control it when your partner is going down on you.

The egg and the remote already come with included batteries, a 12V for the remote and 2N batteries for the egg. The battery for the remote died after a few days even if I had barely used it. But since I had gone to the party with the toy, I cannot remember exactly if I had taken the battery out to prevent the accidental activation of the remote. So I had to go to a special electronic store to get a new one. I decided to buy a set of N batteries just in case, and try the Amante with all new batteries. Buying new batteries for this toy is really not cheap, and the trip to the store cost me almost $20 in Canadian dollars. And at that price, I was really hoping that  the remote battery was really dead and not the remote itself. I was lucky and everything worked.

I personally like clitoral vibrations to get off, and this one had enough strength and variety for me to be satisfied. When used vaginally, I did not feel that it would ever be efficient for me to I was mostly teased in a very pleasant way, and this was why I felt comfortable enough to use it in public at a party. It is an interesting distraction and it requires focus and self-control not to show any reactions. The main drawback of the Amante is that it uses such expensive specialized batteries that are not easily available, but considering that it is small and powerful, I figure that I really should not be complaining.
